    Headset isnt being detected

    Hey all

I just upgraded from xp to 7 and it stopped detecting my headset. It worked fine on xp 2 days ago and i already tried to see if it wasnt broken or anything and its not. My headset doesnt come with any cd for driver installation or anything

My sound card is a SB audigy from creative.

    Cheers

Are the soundcard drivers up to date? W7 installation can't always be trusted to get it right!

Do speakers work? Is the soundblaster selected as the default device? (right click on the speaker icon by the clock and choose playback devices, it should list the onboard if it's not disabled and the soundblaster. male sure the soundblaster is chosen as the default playback device)

Its been fixed now. I took it back to find out that the my onboard soundcard was disabled hence not being able to detect the headset. I have to plug my headset on the back tho as i cba with telling him to enable it again. Problem is fixed. Ty all :)
