NO Audio Output Device is installed.

    Good day everyone!
First time here in the forum and in desperate need of help with my audio.
My audio dissapeared one day and unable to find a fix. I tried re-installing audio drivers and downloaded the lastest drivers from Intel's website and still no solution. Audio in BIOS is enabled and also did BIOS update.
"NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS INSTALLED" and missing "Sound, Video, and game controllers" from the device manager.
Maybe a special driver needed? or settings?
    Here are my specs:
    Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel DG33TL MB using built in audio/video.
    Audio chipset IDT.
    Help me please please please!!!

    DG33TL, welcome to the forums.

I would start with updating/re-installing the chipset drivers,

    Intel® Driver Update Utility

then see if it shows back in Device Manager, and then install the suadio driver.

No need to remove them first, just run the installer and let it do its thing.

    Hello Stormy!
I updated to the lastest chipset drivers...still no luck. Still not detecting any "Sound, Video, and game controllers". Maybe older chipset drivers might work? Can I install older chipset drivers and overwrite new ones or remove them first?
    Many thanks!!

Have you tried these steps? Looks like the issue you are having.

    Hope this helps!

    Still no luck!!

Looks like the problem is from an optional Windows update (Intel Chipset drivers). How do I uninstall optional Windows update? It does not shows up in the Add/Remove list.

    Thanksssss!!!

This is a real shot in the dark, uninstall your audio drivers, but first... go into the Device Manager and Uninstall any audio drivers, or unknown devices, anything you see that is unidentified (yellow mark) that might be the audio device. Then... go to Control Panel/Programs and Features and uninstall the drivers from there.

Reboot the machine and enter the BIOS, disable onboard audio... let the computer fully boot then Reboot, get into the BIOS and enable onboard audio and see if it's detected.

This sounds like a lot more than it is, should only take a couple of minutes.
