    Sound distorsion

I recently installed W7 Pro x64. All is ok, but when I "stress" the CPU (loading a game, opening multiple tabs in web browser) the sound makes a distorsion, sounds like metallic for a few secondos.

I have the latest drivers (Realtek 2.49) for my audio chip (ALC882). I dont know what i can do for fix this.

    P.D. Excuse my english.

Sound is usually on a shared IRQ with a higher priority IRQ device. With the "low priority" of sound and depending on your CPU and how much memory you have this could be a problem.

If the sound were on a different shared IRQ this could help the situation. Go to the Device Manager and uninstall the sound device (but not the drivers) and then restart the PC and when Windows starts, it will find and install the sound. Sometimes this will put it on a different shared IRQ.
