    HDMI 5.1 Output


    Hey, i have an nVidia Geforce 9200 integrated graphics card in my Acer X1301 system (Windows 7 32 bit). Its being used as a home theatre system that has a plasma screen plugged in via HDMI cable and the tv is connected to a home theatre system via a optical cable.

    I am having trouble getting the computer to send 5.1 audio... i have plenty of 6 channel movie files and DVD's but none of them play, if i look at the sound device in device manager 'High Definition Audio Device' it is set as the default and works find using stereo... the device details say that the max channels is 2, i have tried nVidia audio device drivers, Realtek HD device drivers but all only allow 2 channels, is there a way around this???

    Ive spent the last 8 hours straight trying to fix this so any help would be great!!! :)

I just bought myself a new Samsung 42 HDTV to use with my ATI Radeon HD 4350(?) Question is, does my pc now output its graphics in HDMI, or only when i watch HD movies through it? I've looked and looked but no dice so i thought i'd ask you bunch of experts :cool:
