    NIS 2010 problem

The safe web feature in Norton IS 2010 does not show which sites are good and bad on Google. I am using IE. I did a uninstall and reinstall, updated the product and that didn't work. I contacted Norton technical support and they did some investigating on my computer and they didn't know. It only seems to happen on Google that it doesn't show the results of good and bad sites with the small checks.
Does anyone know a solution for this? If so, please give me instructions.

    Thank you!

Not the answer you want, but for me the best. I use and am very happy with this>

    Hello,

    Lets try this...

Open IE and click on "Tools" on the upper right side of the browser.

Select "Manage Addons". Scroll down to the bottom of the list to the Norton section.

Disable everything Norton, close the browser. Reopen the browser and re-enable everything Norton.

If you go directly to Google.com and do a search for some reason it does not work.
    Not sure why.

For whatever reason, it seems isolated to Googles Page.
Bing, Yahoo etc all work fine from the main page and from IEs search bar.

However, if you click the drop down box top right corner of IE (the search) and choose "Find more Providers"

    Add Google to IEs Search

When you choose Google for your search provider & search (from within IE search bar), Norton will now provide you with Safe Web results.

Google needs to be accessed through IE8s search bar for Norton Safe Web to work.

You can try alternative safe browsing tools such as Web of Trust or Browser Defender.

I may just upgrade to the 2011 beta version. Since I hear that it has been quite stable I'll try that.

Another alternative would be the McAfee site advisor. I am usually not a McAfee fan, but this works real well.

I'm not that big of a McAfee fan, but thanks for the suggestion.

WOT, as suggested in my first post. Is really good. I use it all the time, and no anti virus is needed.
