| Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7600 12,173 posts cornwall UK | I guess if there's a slim chance of capture then its worth that little extra peace of mind. im reminded of software for a webcam that switches on when it detects motion and texts your phone it also can send you live footage to your phone , a chap went from UK to Australia on business and got an alert from webcam he was able to see the burglary in progress and call the local police to say what was happening . they were busted and imprisoned ,that said i cannot recall the software anyone knows please post |

| 1,804 posts | I use lojack for laptops.. and I highly recommend it for anyone with the hardware to support it. Someone broke a window in my daughter's car a few months back to steal her laptop, and it was recovered within a week, after the thief had wiped the HDD and installed a hacked copy of windows. It installs at bios level and even if someone replaces the HDD, it reinstalls itself in the background.. absolutely worth the money |
