Panda won the race. BTW, the cloud antivirus from Panda is proving to be a strong contender in coming months.

Hi everyone i just wana say that if you are giving too much attention to this kind of tests and result u wont be able to settle for a single AV. Ultimately it comes down to how much u believe in a particular product. i m using Avast for around 1 yr and hv great believe in the product it kept me out of trouble till now. so atleast i wont be uninstalling it just in case it fail a single AV test. well if i personally feel it is not doing its job then only i will think of uninstalling it not just because it performed poorly in some AV test.

i think there should be a standard test for AV products. this site AntiVirus Software Review 2010 - TopTenREVIEWS and http://internet-security-suite-revie...enreviews.com/ gives a different story. webroot and bitdefender is on the top but the thread malexus gave, it is on the bottom half. then again, this is not a perfect world where a company could pay a site to show that their product are the best . fair or not, im glad my kaspersky is on the number 2 spot for both tests.

You bet it does....Agree on that. Here's what I had to go through on one of their "updates" to the "security center" (I use both terms loosely).

McAfee Update (8/9/10) causes win 7 Problems

That was a fun way to spend most of my day!

Good point. That is precisely what happens in many of the so-called reviews and the reason it is recommended to check multiple sources.
