This is a classic bug with Windows 7. Almost all share this problem. The best way to solve it is to use Microsoft Security Essentials. Others may come by with solutions, that do seem to work. Most have found that it is only temporary.

Happened to me too - after several weeks running NIS2010. I would not worry about it.

Thanks to all for confirming that it is indeed a bug. I did not mention in my post that it is, indeed, nothing to worry about.

Wouldn't this fall down to being the security vendors fault & not a Windows 7 bug?

Either way like what people have already said it won't have a negative effect on your computers security.

Actually makes no difference, but Action Center is suppose to recognize AV use. The AV software is not suppose to be written to be recognized by Action Center.

Again, not important, but I wonder if this "bug" is intentional. Perhaps, as an added incentive to use MS products.
