I would be leery of this product.. AVG is at the top of the list of AV programs that can cause a BSOD... forewarned is forearmed...

This is the lone voice in the wilderness yet again -

    AVG doesn't create BSOD's
    on all computers.

Now for rest of the my mantra -

Have used [the paid version of] AVG Anti Virus Pro on 7 x laptops over the years - XP Pro, Vista Ultimate & Win 7 Ultimate.
No BSOD's, no virus, no malware, no intrusions of any kind.....

    QED.
Different hardware, different setups, different results. I've personally never had a problem with AVG up until the time I switched to MSE fully. Nor do I know anyone who has had issues with it.

MSE is totally free, no licences needed, a life time of freedom.

The same here. In fact I still know some who refuse to switch to any other av program.

But I also found that neither the MSE or AVG programs offered what I was looking for at the same time. When it came time for a new build another new program had to be selected.

As far as which program has the top rating for causing problems that was discussed on an entirely different thread a few weeks back.
