Like many others I stopped using Norton years ago due to the it being a resource hog for starters. They were essentially off my radar until I started hearing good things about them again a few years ago. Finally last year I downloaded a trial for NIS 2010. It was sweet from day 1 and I'm back in the Norton camp. The easy control over internet activities, such as program access rights, is a huge plus. Haven't noticed a performance hit at all and I'm all over the internet but have had zero issues with any bugs / spyware. All-in-all it was a good remake that was way, way overdue.
I gave up on Norton a while back due to almost everything you do is a virus i mean hell a program that was legal and bought still got a virus warning
I seen other av's do so much better of a job of finding things norton couldn't pick up and gave correct virus alerts not just a bunch of alert windows every 2 to 3 minutes
It got so rediculous i basicly have to get avg i got tired of doing simple things and Norton simply just was Annoying blocker
I know alot of my friends use norton and once it screws up they come asking me to help them fix it I basicly recoomend dumping it and get a more uncommon name that has had decent reviews by real users not by coorperate big shots that claim it is the best
when it comes down to it always user prefered
REALLY ?

hi !
SORRY malexous !
you ARE right !
it seems i read the wrong PDF-document, iīm tired now...
i have a PDF named avc_report 26 in my download-folder,
thatīs the only file named avc_report so i assumed it was the latest...
i didnīt check the date, itīs from 20106008 (june 8th 2010),
that report is the test from feb/may where they tested NIS 2010.
i checked my download-folder, i also have the test-report from august,
but itīs named "performance_aug_2010_en.pdf".
i think iīll have to rename all my downloaded reports so i can find them...
anyway, this was a PERFORMANCE-test, it doesnīt tell you anything about how good NIS 2011 are at DETECTING...
