How to prevent auto-popup of WinDefender at startup?

When I start my Win7 system then automatically "Windows Defender" pops up a window telling me with a yellow bar that the"Service has stopped".

After a while (approx 2-3 minutes) without doing anything else and clicking NO button the bar turn into green color indicating that there is "no unwanted or harmful software detected".

Questions:

How do I suppress the Win Defender at all?

How do I suppress it in case that is yellow or green but allow it when viruses are found?

How do I disable WinDefender (=not only the window appearance but the full software) completely ?

Peter

Use one of the best anti virus around; Microsoft Security Essentials. It will stop Defender, automatically. Its engine includes Defender plus a good anti virus.
All you need for protection is Microsoft Security Essentials, The Windows Firewall, which you just turn on, as you have it already. Then Download and scan once a week with malwarebytes. Your problems are over.

Press Start.
write "windows defender"
Open it.
Go to Tools at the top,
go to Options,
Go to Administrator,
Untick Use this program.

Win 7 SP1 not auto-installed & old updates popup after manual install?
Just found out Win 7 SP1 was not auto-installed in a netbook and a home PC today, even though both machines were set up to auto-update. The SP1 was sitting in the Windows update notification. Is this normal? Also after manually installing SP1 (i.e. click OK in Windows update), some old updates...
