Unwanted automatic download and install of KB2918614

I had a problem with several programs giving me a "Key not valid for specified state." I looked it up on Google, and found that it can be caused by Windows security update KB2918614. If I uninstall it, the programs work. The problem is that the damn thing keeps automatically updating. How can I stop it from updating?

    Thanks,
    Carl

Try this if you have your pc set to download and install updates automatically. Windows Update Settings - Change

And then you can right click on that specific update and hide it so you don't install if by mistake later on when you get a bunch of new updates. If you want you can later undo the hide from Windows Update - Restore Hidden Updates
