    Stealth Port 80- Open.

    **Home of Gibson Research Corporation**

Shields up shows Port 80 open.
    So did Nortons Firewall checker.

All other ports are stealth mode in both testers.

Running Avast Internet which has the firewall. Tried IE9 in sandbox no help. Turned Avast firewall off and turned on Windows firewall and it is still Open.

Everything has been blocked so far.

Everything I have read states this is the main port you want stealth or closed.

I never had this problem with ZA on XP everything stealth.
I know this isn't XP. I only mention because I have never had it as an issue.

Went to Avast no help in knowledge base etc.

Do you have a hardware firewall (router)? That is the best firewall. I recommend that you run behind a router even if you only have one computer.

That said, you should have an option in your firewall for full stealth or stealth, or something similar. Select that option. You may be running software that needs port 80 open.

No team viewer. Not sure what it is though.

Finally found something on Avast. Change to work zone equivalent to high.
    Going to test it now.

Doesn't explain windows firewall unless my security settings are too low. All are Default.
Back in a couple of minutes.

Not using a router just the local ISP modem.
Several programs using Port 80 including IE.

No stealth even setting firewall to high in Avast. It kills the email but is still visible.

Everything that has tried access has been blocked so far.
I never realized the port was open before.

I can't post a question on Avast forum.
    I'm already a member but I can't log in.
"Someone already uses that email address." YES ME!

Oh well. It has been okay for the past six months.
    I'll contact Avast I suppose.

Windows firewall doesn't beleive in Stealth I guess.
Ports are open or closed from what I find on MS support.

I suggest that you invest in a router. The hardware firewall is superior to any software firewall.

Totally agree with Carl...I use a router. I also use a Software Firewall, Comodo, on my main rig just to see what proggies are trying to "phone home".

Port 80 is usually open to use IIS configured to access defaulr website. Mostly Windows Firewall used to block it. As well as router go www.canyouseeme.org there enter Port 80 if it says it's sucess then your in trouble. Try get into the Modem settings because now a days ISP gives out ADSL Router + Modem. Sometime it's open there.

    Good Luck,
