A new version (1.0.2498.0) of the stable Microsoft Security Essentials is available.
 Note This is not the Preview (Beta) 2. - version trough Microsoft Connect. This is the stable version. security_essentials

i take it that it doesn't auto-update the program along with the definitions, so we have to download this?
i've just pressed update within mse, and it downloaded definitions, but a help >> about still shows version 1.0.1963.0 | | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number mickey megabyte 1234
