Security Essentials Screensaver Scans Your Computer on Screensaver Act

Windows: Security Essentials Screensaver scans your computer using Microsoft Security Essentials (Microsoft's excellent anti-malware tool) whenever your screensaver activates.

The screensaver comes in two flavors, graphical and non-graphical. The graphical one displays the Microsoft Security Essentials logo and the non-graphic one simply blanks the screen like the default windows "Blank" screensaver. Scanning pauses when you return back to work.

If you are a Microsoft Security Essentials user and want to get this cool feature in MSE too, here is the solution. Jwils876 from Deviantart has created a screensaver which is pretty much similar to the Avast screensaver.

Uh, when i installed the screensaver there is no preview or test. It does open up a command prompt after the 1 min idle like i told it too. Hmm wonder why i can't get the screen saver to open. I triple checked the instructions and I seem follow them good. Any one else have this problem? or he says it works with beta but i am gonna try on stable release.

What stable release? The newest stable version of MSE is 1.0.2498.0. If you're pertaining to MSE 2 Beta, still no date as to when would a stable MSE 2 be released.

Yeah, sorry I should have been more specific. I meant the Beta. I'm using the stable release.
