bitlocker failure

hi..i tried to activate bitlocker on my external hard drive..then i encrypt it, when it came to 90%, they told me that it cannot continue and i should run the chkdsk. then i removed the password on the drve then it suddenly asked me about the recovery key..when i typed it the 1st tym, it worked and open my external HD.. den on my next try, when i typed the recovery key, it keeps on telling me "error recovering disk E: the recovery key you typed is not correct. type it again"...why the hell dont they accept the recovery key that they gave me??now...i cant open my drive...i have my important files in the drive and i badly needed it..pls help me...

Can we assume that you dont have a backup?

How important are the missing files? (games, documents, etc).

You have several problems.
1-a disk problem
2-bitlocker
3-encryption

I dont think (short of a commercial recovery business.) you are going to be able to recover them.

If you still wish to try stop using that HD NOW.

Do you have another computer?
