Well my line of thought was that the file is in use or encrypted, maybe leading to this problem, but it's just a long shot
To check if you enabled the Firefox encryption goto:
Tools > options > Advanced > Security Devices
It will tell you there if you enabled encryption on your password database. If it says that it is disabled or not active, then side of things is fine.
Also, if you type the following into the Firefox address bar:
about
:cache
Under 'Disk cache device' will be 'Cache Directory'
It will point to a home folder for your Firefox profile(s), for example my profile folder is located in:
C:\Users\USERNAMEABCD...\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
That's where you are trying to copy the profile folder from? or are you copying from another directory? Can you copy the profile folder from there?
As far as SQL goes... go to the start menu, click run, then type the following:
services.msc, next click ok
Check the list to see if it lists any installed SQL servers. If there is one, stop its service and then try to copy the Firefox profile folder. You can always restart the SQL service again afterwards.

Thanks for ur replies.
First, at login I have only one option at login which isn my user name.!
Second, I could not find anything in Firefox that resembled Software Encryption Device.
Could you both shed a bit more light, as I said i am inexperienced.
Thanks
