Windows 7: Symantec Antivirus good?

18 Oct 2010   #11

Window's 7 Ultimate 64bit

I have used Symantec End Point Protection from the 10.0 version up to the 11.0.5002.333 version I am using today on 8 systems and it has saved us from some nasties quite a few times, works great for us and it can be run managed or unmanaged 32 or 64 bit firewall is also built into it which can be set to ask for permission to allow programs or software to run and then set it for that particular program or block ports, as you prefer. I have mine update daily and do an active daily scan and a full weekly scan.

what is a good antivirus tool for Windows 7 64 or 32
I tried Kaspersky but I believe it is good but may be a tad slow and even annoying sometimes.... with all those pop ups. I do not go to any funky sites, etc etc... more like developers sites, some news sites. kids go to hello kitty sites, and some kids talk sites etc... suggestions?
