Some time ago, due to changes in Firefox, it became necessary to close the browser in order to manage cookies with WinPatrol. This was not the case with IE. After a bit of testing, I see that, at least with IE9 (and probably the same with IE8), it is also necessary to close the browser in order to manage cookies with WinPatrol.
@Bill, I responded to the thread at SC with that info.

Yep. Just installed.
Sad to say though it still adds both startup entries for me with the install. Have to manually uncheck the start with windows tick box and recheck to get rid of the extra entry.
Since you've done an uninstall, Airbot, I don't think what I discovered will solve your problems. However, you may want to check Add/Remove programs and the version anyway. It appears that most of the problems incurred with WinPatrol v19.3 are a result of the previous version not completely uninstalling. See WinPatrol 19.3 Issues and Solutions.
Thanks Corrine but yeah, that isn't the problem. Haven't had any problem with it having a double install or incomplete uninstall. I've tried installing over previous versions, and I've tried completely removing all traces of Winpatrol from my system and installing new as well. Has the same effect of adding the double start entries. Unless it's leaving something hidden deep in the registry that I haven't seen even that's affecting it after removal of everything I can find. Yes I can un-tick and re-tick the start option to get rid of the extra startup entry, or manually remove it myself, point is it shouldn't be doing that. So there is an underlying bug in it somewhere still.
Let's hope this does the trick, Airbot:

Thanks Corrine.
I think it got worked out for me with the last 2 versions. I think finally with the 19.3.2010.1 it correctly added only the one entry in Currentversion Run instead of the one in the WOW6432 node. Besides having the debug popup in that version. Installed over the 19.3.2010.2 one from the other day and it held up the same so I think it was fixed for me at least. I might give this one a go though anyways.
Thanks. I'll let Bill know. He couldn't remember which site I had pointed him to with the problem.
Just curious -- do you use the free version or WinPatrol PLUS?
