Could someone tell me what this process is?

atieclxx.exe is running on my computer now. I was checking the internet, they said it was a virus. I cannot find it. I ran a 100% full scan with Norton 360 and it found nothing. It may be just part of the ati files I am sure I have on my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

that's the amd external events utility. it's not a virus.

basically useless, unless you have hotkeys set up to switch screen resolutions or similar.

if you want rid of it (and why not) type services.msc into your start-menu searchbox, find amd external events utility and disable it, so it doesn't start at next boot.

you'll need to do it each time you update your gfx drivers.

Description: atieclxx.exe is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 348,160 bytes (50% of all occurrence), 290,816 bytes.
The program is not visible. It is a Microsoft signed file. The file is not a Windows system file. Therefore the technical security rating is 16% dangerous, however also read the users reviews.
