help .... viruses in my external HD :(

Hi guys,
yesterday i gave my external HD to my friend and apparently his laptop is infected
. so now every time i try to open my HD i get these files :

non of them was here before except for the " programz " folder
and every time i try to open one of them i get this :

except for the folder called "System Volume Information" when i try to open it nothing happens.

i tried to scan the external HD with "Microsoft Security Essentials" and the it deleted a lot of files and whats left now are the ones it the print screen. after that i tried to scan the HD again and now MSE says its clean.
and those are the deleted files :

but the weird thing is that the HD is still full ( 196GB free of 931GB )

and when i scan in MSE it still scans my old files:

now what will happen ?
1- are all my files gone ?
2- should i remove the HD from my laptop ?
3- can i download another antivirus like ( kasper -norton) to use it with MSE ?

Can you pull the files that you know are yours and are vitally important off the drive?

You copied a shortcut, not the folder. Copy your vital docs and what, then I recommend a clean wipe, write zeros pass over the entire thing.

A Suspicious rating by Hitman Pro is not a false positive but neither is it necessarily a threat. I assume you scanned with Early Warning Scoring. It should only be used if you can't access the internet and/or you can decide for yourself what is malicious.
