How much layered security?

Still can't decide if it's worth it over Norton though as I have a free option for Norton 2011

I have been always very happy with Norton that I use on 3 system. On a couple of other systems I use MSE which I think is inferior (caught a couple of nastiies already).

I'm running Norton 360, MSE and Comodo. They all play well together. I also have Malwarebytes which I run regular scans with.

AVG won't install

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread. But am having a problem reinstalling AVG 2011 after the rogue update 3292 crashed my computer.I did get it to boot back up after trying to run the repair but it still wouldn't update on reboot. Finally got AVG to uninstall as suggested on their support site but now it won't reinstall and says it has a conflict with MSE and tells me to remove the Microsoft security program.I called the support people and was told the two programs can't coexist. This seems ridiculous because they have both been running concurrently on this pc with Win7 Home premium 64 bit before the crash and are presently running on my laptop and the wifes pc both with Win XP.Has anyone got any idea what to try to solve the problem?

You don't want MSE and AVG together - no way. If fact you don't want AVG altogether. Avast can run with MSE, but that is the only one that has been tested together with MSE. Threatfire Test with MSE and Avast 5 |
