    Comodo update question

Hey, I'm just curious about the Comodo update.

They released one about 2 days ago, and I see that it now comes bundled with GeekBuddy, a free trial for 60 days.

I haven't updated yet because I'm wondering, can you opt not to include that in the update?

Anyone updated yet and was there an opt out option on that?

    Thanx

This was just an update to fix the trusted vendor list. I updated yesterday after I received the update notice, without any problems. I am only using CAV (AV & Defense + only) and the update didn't try to install the FW or Geek Buddy.

    Thanx DBone

The only reason I asked was when I clicked on the info link, GeekBuddy was listed, and I prefer to have a choice in what I put on my system.

You only get GeekBuddy if you download the entire thing again from their website (like you did the first time), and once you do, you can check/uncheck Firewall or GeekBuddy

Thanx EchoX860, I was wondering about that. I did mine & it was a quick update, but the "find out more" link made it look like you were going to get that whether you wanted it or not.

Borg 386- Yes, you can opt out of Geek Buddy just as you can opt out of any other Comodo offering like the Comodo DNS Servers.
