Windows 7: Eset SS4 blocking my Media Streamer.

First off i should say i have updated my Windows 7 OS three times now, from 7077 to 7100, 7201 and finaly to 7229. The first time i didn't take Eset off and so its firewall became very unstable.
I took it off after having no luck with it and put Avast on instead and have been using that until this weekend when i wanted to give Eset another go.
It seemed to install ok and i haven't had any errors with the firewall BUT my PCH network streamer cant see my work group. Plus my PC cant see the PCH.
Dissbling the FW sorted this out and i now have the Windows 7 firewall running instead.
I really would like to rely on Eset though so does anyone have any ideas how to go about fixing this, other than a clean install that is coming soon but not just yet.
I also have Eset running on a clean 7231 install on my Netbook and that seems fine so i know a clean instla of Windows 7 will fix it but i would have thought there would be a way of configuring Eset to work.
