    Good AV's

I find out today im lagging badly on my system so I decided hey why not get Malware bytes again since I had it before I went to linux then back to 7 home premium and I got Avast 1st thing and Not a SINGLE warning message! and I run malware bytes and im up to 19 infected files.

    So what do you recommend?

Avast and MBAM, both running in the background with real-time protection. Avast is a light AV. If you're going for paid, I would suggest Norton. Kaspersky is also a very good security app. You might want to read some reviews as these should help you decide:

    AV-Comparatives Detection Tests
    AV-Comparatives Retrospective Tests
    AV-Comparatives Whole Product Dynamic Tests
    AV-Comparatives False Alarm Tests
    AV-Comparatives Performance Tests
    AV-Comparatives Removal Tests
AV-Comparatives Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUA) Tests

Panda and Avira are known to have many false positives.

    Ugh, another best AV thread.

From a purely BSOD perspective there is a hands down winner MSE.

And I am not even an MSE fan

I use Trend Micro at work, MSE on my home Windows 7 box, and Avast on my wife's laptop and I never get BSOD's....
