    UAC Prompts disappeared

    Howdy to everyone,
I recently did a restore image due to problems. Everything seems to be running alright except that I don't get the UAC prompt windows before a clicked program runs.
I thought this was an added layer of protection and if so, would like it to happen.
What did I do, not do and how might I correct this issue.
    Thanks for any assistance.

Sometimes things get broken when you restore an image.

Go to "Control Panel" --> "User Accounts" -->

    "Change User Account Control Settings"

Set the slider to the level you want, instructions and tips are given there.

When you have finished that, and checked that it works OK, go to "Windows Update" and check for updates. This will put back any security updates you may have deleted by restoring the image.

    Hello Mike Conner,
Thanks for the easy to follow help. Works good, appreciate it. Will do the update also. Now if you could check into my next thread "Desperate Help Necessary" and come up with the proper way I would be doubly grateful.
