My computer is acting very strange! Help....

    Hi Guys,
You know when you're downloading something, you can hear the computer working and the light on the Pc keeps blinking. Well, my computer is doing this onstop so I figure that something is wrong. I tried to looked for virus so I did some scan with "Malwarebytes", "MSE Anti-virus" & "Spybot" but nothing was found. I really don't know what's causing this but I also tried disconnecting the internet to see but it was still working and sounding like it was downloading. Can you please help me?

    Thanks in advance,

    Yannik

Hi Yannik - Run the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) and look under processes - see if theres anything running ? Then hit the services tab and see if you can see who's hogging your rig. If that provides no clue go to the performance tab, click on the Resource Monitor and then the Disk tab to see if you can find the offender.

    Good luck :):):)

    Hi again,
I just did a scan with MSE and it show that I'm infected with a Trojan called: virtool.win32/obfuscator.XZ The problem is that MSE anti-virus won't delete this junk and it is the same Malwarebytes, Spybot & AdAware which I tried earlier. Now, do you have an idea on how to remove this nasty bug out of computer? Is there a free software that could remove that?

    Thanks in advance,

    Yannik

I think that's a pretty serious deal. What is the error message with MSE and Malwarebytes?

They should be able to get rid of it

Please go here and run an on-line scan with the F-Secure scanner .

    • Use IE (Internet Explorer), accept the license terms, and allow the Active-X controls to load.
    • Click Full System Scan and allow the components to download and the scan to complete.
    • If malware is found during the scan, check Submit samples to F-Secure and Automatic cleaning.
    • When the scan has finished, click the Show Report button and copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.

Looks like some people have suggestions for you - I KNOW it CAN be removed, I just cant off hand tell you which program will do it - probably not a free one - but you may get lucky. Try doing a "google search" for virus removal and see what pops up (you can try googling "free virus removal").

    Good Luck there Yannik :):):)

I wouldn't google "free virus removal" as you can lead to fake virus scanners or malicious programs. Stick to what Corrine has suggested

I would also try Hitman Pro as it uses multiple scanners. Gdata, Dr.Web, Ikarus, Emsisoft, and Prevx. I scan with it, but haven't had to use it for removal as I never get infected, but it supposed to be excellent at removal and has a great reputation.

Yes i do, download here and just install Avira Free antivirus and it will delete the virus, BUT make sure to update it first, because MalwareBytes and MSE is not as strong as Avira to delete files.

Avira AntiVir Personal FREE - Download

Good Luck, let us know how it went.

Wow, 1 Million thanks Guys my Virus is now gone with the wind! I will be more cautious next time because it is pretty stressing getting these kind of bugs when you don't know how to get rid of it.
    Thanks again,
