The answer is (based on emprical evidence) "no". OK, but that is far removed from 'Careful with N360. If your not paying CLOSE attention it'll upload the entire contents of your HD to Norton's own "secure servers" automatically.'
The user has to take positive action before any backup is made. | My System Specs |

For those of you who haven't taken the time to read up on Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) (Morro) you will be surprise to know that only the first 75,000 will have a shot at the download, or if you have a TechEd/MSDN account. So you the average Joe or Jill out there will end up getting MSE from a torrent site until its actual release date (Oct 23, 2009, hopefully). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion a4302f OS Win 7 Pro x64, VM Win XP, Win7 Pro Sandbox, Kubuntu 11 CPU AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 @ 3.0 Gbz Memory 12GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB, 2x2GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4350 HD Graphics/Audio with 512MB Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 1. This is by far the most basic AV i have ever used. There is no option at all to select when it updates?? i ditched Avira & Nod32, it seemed that they ALWAYS update (freeze up everything...) when im in an online game. +MSE updates through Windows Update, so depending on those settings (WU) will be when the MSE updates as well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number eMachines W3502 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x32 CPU Intel Celeron D 3.2 Ghz 533 fsb (LGA 775) Motherboard Intel D101GGC Memory 1 GB (2x512MB) PC-3200 DDR @ 200Mhz Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 9400GT- 1GB Sound Card Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreame Gamer Monitor(s) Displays 19" LCD HDtv Screen Resolution 1360x768 @ 60Htz Keyboard Stock.
