Windows Sysinternals: Process Explorer. It's way better than native task manager:

FYI, The built in resource montior (available from the task manager) in Windows 7 now does nearly everything that process explorer does.

Not /everything/ but I have not had an issue where ProcExp was more helpful than the resource monitor so far. Seems like they took all the really useful parts of ProcExp and put them into the Resource Monitor.

From yesterday, my MSE turns unprotected itself without any reason. I reboot my pc, it turns protected, ok. After a couple of hours it turns unprotected again. Just a yellow icon in the taskbar without any warning.

Try a system restore and it should be fine. Its probably due to a recent update.
