    Microsoft Security Essentials vs. Kaspersky?

    Which do you think is better? I'm sticking with Kaspersky for now.

    i've only used older versions of kesplakersy (or w/e) and it had a nice simple UI, as does morro. i like Morro. I stuck it on all the pc's in my house. avast has a tendency to confuse not so tech savvy ppl (siblings). so now if they get a virus, they cant delete without bothering me. so theres another plus

    I have tried the following AV's;

    Kaprasky For W7 Beta - Didn't like it, kept asking me about every little thing.
    Norton Anti-Virus Gamer Edition - Was fairly light-weight and worked well.
    McAfee - Was decent, wasn't picking up much.
    OneCare - Was using a lot of my resources and didn't pick up much.
    Panda - Was a resource hog, extended my 'boot up' time about 2 minutes. Asked me about every little thing.
    AVG - Was light-weight and picked up some things.
    Morro - By far my favorite, light-weight, picks up things none of the following picked up on my system, and doesn't take forever to load.

    Morro wins. =D

    You didn't say whether you have KAV or KIS. Obviously the suite offers a lot more then Microsoft Security Essentials. I used KAV for a while and really liked the features, but unfortunately it had too much impact on my system. It doesn't sound like you're having any problems with it though.

    KIS/KAV vs MORRO? This comparison sux imho. KIS/KAV is an old known product. MORRO is just released in beta. It's too early to make a concret comparison without leak tests.

    I am using Morro and I am already impressed. Today, I was transferring a file from my memory stick duo and Morro immediately poped up and announced W32 Jeefo. Why am I impressed?

    Cause it is in beta version, is a lightweight client, and still detects viruses well. It's worth it. And In case you don't know... I've been telling every person that Morro rocks cause it indeed does.

    I have a subscription to Nod32 Smart Security but I decided to trial MSE for a while and see how it fairs.
