Removing Bitlocker on Windows 7 Professional

    Hello.

I have a 16gb SD card with Bitlocker on it, which I enabled on my school Laptop (which I assume has Enterprise or Ultimate). However, because several items in the control panel are blocked (do not appear) I am finding myself unable to remove it. I have a desktop computer on which I am administrator and have access to all settings, and I have tried to remove it there, but it has Windows 7 Professional installed. Professional does not have any settings related to BitLocker. I am unable to find an option to remove it (though the SD card is operational).

I'd be happy to leave it like this, but I have to remove some hidden folders on the SD card, and my laptop has them hidden. I cannot change this setting (due to school blocks). My professional computer sees my SD card as read-only, so I can't remove them there.

(As a side note, I remember copying things onto my SD card before, but now I can't cause it's read-only... glitch? exception? me being forgetful?)

The only solution I can find is to copy things off and format my SD card, but this would be inconvenient. Before I settle for this, is there an easy fix I've missed?

I'm still having this problem (115 days later), and now I've realised I can't format the drive, getting a "Windows was unable to complete the format" message. I tried in Command Prompt, which output "Invalid drive specification".

    What can I do?

    EDIT:
Never mind, I've fixed the problem. The laptop was able to format the drive, removing bitlocker.
