MSE Windows Validation message

I have had Windows 7 ultimate for about a year now and am using MSE as my antivirus. Booted up one morning and MSE said it couldn't update because Windows isn't valid. I hope this is a problem with MSE. Any one know?
Thanks, John

Try uninstalling and reinstalling MSE if you're sure windows is genuine.

Tried that. It didn't work.. I fear I may have been duped. I wonder, though, why only MSE does this. Wouldn't Windows update do this also?

Was there an option to have it go on line & validate ?
My mothers pc, when she launched MSE, had that happen. I connected via "Teamviewer", into her pc, and had it MSE do the validate process.. All was well after that.
Previously, there had been an update of the MSE software, a week or two before.

Where did you buy the copy of Windows 7 from? I can take a look at your mgadiag log for clues. Download and run this tool.

go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

Click on the Copy button, paste to notepad, save as .txt file, then upload here.

I got this copy from a friend of a friend who's dad has a pc place etc. I know, I know. But I believed him. Please save the negative comments. I have gone to Microsoft.com and the validation keeps getting interupted.

Download CKScanner by askey127 from http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/CKScanner.exe
Important - Save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick CKScanner.exe and click Search For Files.
After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
A message box will verify the file saved.
Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

CKScanner - Additional Security Risks - These are not necessarily bad
c:\program files\yahoo! games\bejeweled 2 deluxe\sounds\firecrackle.ogg
c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs.removewat
scanner sequence 3.AA.11
----- EOF -----
There you go. Does this tell you anything?
