    thanks kodi.

same here, never had issues too. but if i could get the best option for my machine and preferences via the expert techies around, i wouldn't mind changing either. its just that, technology evolves rapidly, as well as the cyber "bad" guys.. just thought that there might be some others getting in top spot security service from time to time.

    again, thanks kodi..

I highly recommend Vipre Anti-Virus for Windows xp and 7. I have the all you can eat version of Vipre premium for my home machines and I have not noticed any problems in a year or so. It is fast and not intrusive except when you attempt to go to a site that has bad guys on it. It also check email and attachments and lets you know that they are bad if it finds bad guys in the attachments.

I don't have any financial interest in GFI software, they bought sunbelt software vipre people.

    Hi Rich,

I personally bought VIPRE Antivirus myself for 3 of my home PC's and they've never run faster. I belive they were recently bought out by GFI but it still seems pretty good and I'm happy with the virus detection system too.

I got a discount (VIPRE Antivirus Coupon - For those intrested. ) every little helps regarding VIPRE's GUI its very nice and effective and there support seems quite good too, it's a simple web forum similar to this one but it works quite well and issues are delt with by the creators of the software. -- Here is there support forum if anyone is wondering GFI Support.

    Great Software overall.

OP, Norton Internet Security 2011 seems to be pretty nice too, same with Antivirus 2011.

You could always just download each trial after the other one ended and buy the one you like the most.

I was using MSE and never had any bad reports when I did a full scan. After reading about Vipre I downloaded the trial and did a full scan, Vipre found 7 trojans on my computer
