    Norton 360 v5


    Has any one started using Norton 360 v5..Any comments regarding it..

    I'm pretty impressed with it so far. I think I prefered the v4 interface though. It seems to run really light on my system. Which is all I ask for really. Hasn't let me down yet.

    I've attached a few screen shots for those that are interested.

    ugh.. I've hated Norton for years.. eats up the CPU like a fat kid in a... fat... place?

    Yes. I think it is better that v4 apart from the new interface. I haven't tried the backup system yet as I had problems with that in v4 and had to disable it. One thing I find annoying is the popups telling me that a particular program is using too much resources (CPU , memory etc) when I already know that. The new site checking facility looks useful although I currently use virus total for that. I also like the fact that it now checks files downloaded via Chrome without having to do it manually. all in all it is an improvement.

    One warning. If you used startup manager you will have to set it up again. The upgrade loses the old settings here.

    Back in 2003 yes, now it's 2011. They've stepped up their game.

    If you do not find it useful, disable Performance Monitoring or change the settings to your liking.

I have Norton 360 v5 version 90 days trial. This is the first time I'm using Norton product. I have little bit problem regarding this product. Norton "Ideal time process" eat more-than 50% of CPU usage. Sometimes it reach 95%. So how do i reduce it? Please look at this screen shot....

Today, i decide to install on my computer Norton 360, and i remove AVG free edition 2011. I am shocked. Norton 360 has been scanned and found risk found 23, i was like Whoa. why not about AVG should have to suppose for that, but i was felt down, so i will pay norton 360 for sure definitely. ...

I never thought I would say this but the Norton 360 security Suite is a terrific program! I get it for free from my ISP (Comcast) they used to provide McAfee but this light years ahead!:cool:
