    Help my internet been DDoSED


    *cry* hey guys how are you,


    Well im an online gamer for the game Arma 2 OA :)

    i play on the us servers my ping use to be 233 :) all the time

    all of a sudden my ping jump from 233 to 310 plus out of no where i have reseted my internet con, unplug thing etc

    a friend told me iv been DDoSED that my internet is being spamed or something and im complet nooby with thing like this

    i also beleave i am because i keep looseing internet pages keep comeing up as not found, etc, im connected to a moden router but pluged straight into the computer, all the signs of the attack are showing in internet slow wise

    im useing Bigpond Elite cable

    my ping use to be 233 On us servers, my ping jumped on everything i go on and got slower

    Your best bet is to contact Telstra/BigPond and get them to check your account.

    Firstly, Telstra is a joke, so let's get that out of the way.

    Secondly, a ping of 310 is nowhere near DDoS attack levels - they pretty much render your connection dead, with timeouts everywhere. If anything it's probably a fault in your line (we had one recently after all the rain). Do a speed test to check your bandwidth as that can be an indicator of line problems.

    So, as above, I'd call Testra and ask them to check your line and check if they have and ongoing/scheduled maintenance work in your area; see what that brings up.
