    WSE Confusion

I have Windows Security Essentials installed on all my computers. Why do all my reports and such state that I have no Anti-Virus installed? I just upgraded the the latest version of Speccy, and that show's no A/V as well.

I have been using MSE ever since it was in Beta without ever having any virus or such, so I know it has to be doing some work.

Am I missing something or do I have the wrong impression of what MSE does?

You may just want to try uninstalling it, then reinstalling.

BTW, what's listed in the action center under Security? Does it show there that you have an AV installed?

There's a hotfix for this issue. Correct me if i'm wrong.

The system health report does not detect installed antivirus applications in Windows 7

MSE is an anti-virus and it replace windows defender. Just a thing, If you want to be really protected, you can configure the firewall.
Configurer le firewall de Seven pour Windows Update, MSE…
otherwise you will protect a half.
