    Laptop Security


    I have recently moved from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium and am extremely dissappointed to find that I am no longer able to request the software to display the 'Log On' screen when re-starting my laptop, having previously closed down using either the 'Hibernate' or 'Sleep' command. Am I doing something wrong or have Microsoft (wrongly) omitted this option from the Windows 7 programme ?

    Hiya pal and welcome to the forums. :)
    If you right click on the desktop then click "personalize", click on "screensaver", then "change power settings" you should get the option showed in the pic. This is where you setup the password option. Hope this helps

I have tried to run mse and malware but both pop up for a second then vanish. spybot did work but found 2 security files which I fixed but still have problem. It has the microsoft logo but you have to pay to install it. It constantly warns off computer hijacks etc and flashes up the pay here...
