    Kaspersky

My friend has Kaspersky as his antivirus; I've always been under the impression that it's HORRIBLE. That impression became certain when I looked at this computer and Kaspersky said he had 44 viruses. I didn't believe Kaspersky so I ran Malwarebytes (after I had to make Kasperky unblock the .exe because it said it was a Trojan). Malwarebytes returned nothing. Next I ran Microsoft security essentials, again kaspersky thought it was a Trojan so I had to unblock). MSE returned nothing. I also ran AVG and Trend Micro with the same results. I then did a clean install on that computer (there request) and installed Kaspesrky, on a clean install it said it had 65 infections.

Why did Kaspersky make up all this junk about infections? Has this ever happened before? Also, Kaspersky did the almost the same thing on about 5 of their other computers, and all my antivirus found nothing.

I'm guessing Kaspersky are wanting them to keep their subscription by fear. If MSE says it's clean, then I'd trust that as clean, especially if AVG agreed. Are you sure it's really Kaspersyky and not some company trying to sell fake antivirus?

They said it's kaspersky, and they had the box. I don't think a company could get away with making a fake CD, box, program, and and all that.

Well some fake windows 7 discs have apparently been floating around eBay, but yeah I suppose physical fake antivirus discs would be a bit far fetched
Apparently kaspersky has a higher detection rate than most, but given that you ran it on a clean install I guess it's just trying to be too over-protective

The majority of infections were "riskware" which I've never heard of.

Apparently riskware is standard applications that have security flaws. By that definition though, Microsoft Windows could be considered riskware given the amount of security flaws found in it (but I'm sure just as many would be found in other operating systems if they had the userbase for crackers/hackers to bother)
So yeah, sounds like Kaspersky is being incredibly over-cautious.

It was pretty annoying to work on there computer, I plug in a flash drive "INFECTION!" I run MSE "INFECTION!" I run Malware "INFECTION!" I put in Win XP disc, "INFECTION!"

Yeah, it can get annoying like that
So long as you're sure that it's clean, then it's just being far too over the top with it's reactions.

Well by defauly KIS2011 doesn't stop me running Malwarebytes or SUPERAntispyware and it certainly has never acted as you describe.
Have you got a screenshot of the riskware?
