    New Rogue: PCSecurity2009

Once installed, it will also drop several bogus files onto the system. These files will then be detected as malicious. To remove these fake infections, the user will need to license the software. It will also randomly hijack Internet Explorer and claim that it needs to license PCSecurity2009.

thanks, I really hate those types of rogues.... the other day it happened to my mum's Mini Netbook running XP, she thought there was a real threat.. these guys are really nasty, to trick the un-suspecting novice users into thinking they need to buy this thing or will loose all there data...

    +rep for you reghak!

    Pure SLIME!

I hate companies that reduce themselves to nothing more than a common street thug to make a buck.

Let's SPAM the sh*t out of them!

Thanks for the heads up, My AV trial is about to expire, and was looking into others to try. It surely won't be PC Security 2009!

I would love it if some government agency or Microsoft will DDoS the stupid servers hosting this stupid rogue websites. Or maybe North Korea can help us here.

interesting thought... you know the goverement is quick to talk to ISPs about websites that have eligitamate material or child pornography, but they don't do anything to scam sites like these.....

lmfao if it was that easy ... they rather take down TBP or other warez site :P...

LOL at DDoSing them... who knows they might even be controlling a bot net their selves... ( they try to spread viruses don't they? )

I guess blacklisting the site will do more to stop them... :P
