    Baidu on Vista

Im trying to remove the baidu virus/malware/thing from my dads computer, but ive hit a slight problem: i cant find the baidu files. ive looked online, where people said to delete specific registry entries, dlls, etc. i have deleted a few folders, but there are no registry entries or dlls or anything else that i can find that is related to baidu at all, and yet it is still here. i have checked for hidden folders and files, but i havent seen anything. i have disabled baidu in the addons manager, but its useless

my dad's using ie9, despite me telling him that he should use anything but ie.

does anyone have some tricks to removing baidu?

What malware or anti-virus applications have you run?? The normal suggestion here is to use Malwarebytes.

    My personal opinion only :
You should NOT be running both AVG and MSE in the same computer. You run the risk of the 2 interfering each other in stead of catching viruses, not to mention they will use up a lot of resources.
Unless you are using one as `Real Time Protection `and the other one as `On-demand Protection `

`On-demand Protection `means it does not run until you manually turn it on, and it will stop when scanning is done.

Why does everyone assume that there are multiple virus scanners just because multiple names are mentioned? Avg was installed a while ago, before I convinced my dad to use mse, after uninstalling avg.

    More info on Baidu: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baidu

Manual removal can be found here Virus List: Adware.Baidu Trojan
    (Don't download ExterminateIt!)

Uninstall Baidu Toolbar, then delete the folder. You may have to do this is 'safe' mode.
