I'd have a good look around at all the office supply places. If you have a Staples in your area (or check the online store), they usually have a sale on Norton AV or 360 regularly. Final cost is usually pretty low if you get it at the right time.

After doing some checking is appears as a Charter cable customer I can get F-Secure Internet Suite for free. Norton just lost a customer.

A renewal cost that is two/three times the price of original purchase price is just plain stupid.

Well the OP has decided to go elsewhere so my post is probably too late. Since 2009 NIS keys are good for 1 yr from first installation. Within that year if a new version comes out you get a free upgrade to the new version. I bought NIS 2011 for $9.99 (after rebates) for a 3 user package. A few weeks later it was FREE (with rebates). NIS 2012 will be released in the next few Months and I will get my free upgrade and then I will watch the sales and even if I find NIS 2011 on sale I can buy it and use the new key. NIS has gotten top marks in lots of tests so it is my top choice, especially since it goes on sale or has rebates quite often that really lower the cost. I never pay retail for anything computer related since there are lots of sales and rebates around.

I have 25 days till my existing subscription expires. So I don't have to pull the trigger right away. I will hold off and see if Norton has any good deals. If anyone finds a good deal please post here.

Thanks again for all the responses.

Have you EVER considered buying ESET Smart Security 4? Or..AntiVir...Comodo? All of these are very good security softwares...idk if they're better than Norton but I personally use ESET and I've never had a problem with it.

There is no definitive 'best' antivirus, the user selects what he wants to use based on his preferences
    What's the Best Anti-virus?

    NIS

    Phone Man

That's a good buy at NewEgg. I wonder if I was to buy a copy and save it, how long would the key be good if it was not entered for some time? (Oh what tangled webs we weave)
