    I DO NOT recommend anyone to take apart a laptop ... Unless you can follow what I said so far, I think you'd better contact HP support.

    You said you did not care about all your data right? Unless I misread it, you may want to reformat it. It does the job right off the bat and your virus will surely be wiped out. :)

    Well, this is a good suggestion :) if he has a valid license for Windows at hand, which does not seem to be the case. But let's see what he tells us.

    Best option. I suggest that next time, you use your PC correctly because in order to get such a strong virus you must be dealing with (torrents, illegally downloaded music, "adult" videos, illegal software keygen/license numbers, etc)....that IS what gets people in trouble with viruses.

    Although what you suggest is indeed often a source of malware, people can also be infected when they are completely innocent of any wrongdoing, so one has to be careful about making sweeping statements like this.
