antivirusan.com virus on windows 7 pro?

I just got a virus on my windows 7 pro machine. It does not let me run anything and keeps pushing me to antivirusan.com (spelled exactly like that without the c in scan). I've never had antivirus sw on this machine or problems. I just ran a free 2011 AVG scan from safe mode that did not detect or pick up anything. It almost appears to taking over the green windows security checkmark in the tray.
If i attempt to run AVG from windows 7 normal mode or IE it tells me avgui.exe is corrupt as it does for many other files. It does not let me run task manager or browse the web.

I've uploaded a video of what I am seeing on the machine on YouTube.

I just found this threat report that just came in.

Any suggestions or ideas? How can I find a scan tool that has a fix for it?

Have a look at this thread. The replies should apply to you as well. You really want to try a bootable AV, MalwareBytes, etc.

virus removal from within safe mode
