    Canon DPP - Uknown publisher

    Hello All,

I have a question regarding Canon Digital Photo Professional software, everytime I start the program Win7 is asking if I want to allow the program to make changes to my computer and states that the publisher is uknown, is there a wa to stop this except for chaging my security setting to lowest? Maybe to add somehow the program tu "trusted Programs" list ??

    Thank you all

Right-click DPP's icon in the Start folder and click Properties. Click the Compatibility tab and check Run this program as an administrator under Privilege Level. Click Apply/OK.

The next time you run DPP just right-click again and select Run as administrator. You shouldn't get any more UAC prompts after that and should be able to launch DPP in the normal manner.

OK, hope it does the trick as it's a great tool for processing RAW files for anyone who hasn't got Adobe Photoshop et al.

As an afterthought you might also want to see if it's listed in the Notification area. If it is just change the setting to Hide Icon and Notifications.

I'm just wondering if there's a problem with DPP itself.

Try uninstalling then re-installing it. It may be a long shot, but you might want to download Canon's update to DPP as well after you've re-installed.
