I could think of some derogatory comments about this program, but neither huge or bloated would be among them.

A 66 MB download, and 120MB to 150MB installed with all options? Have a look, it includes a ton of "tools" if you don't do the custom install. A Guy

You were right, I spoke before trying it out. It is completely unusable on my system. After reaching desktop, it repeatedly hung completion of booting, and even afterward, it kept the CPU revving at ~50%. I've uninstalled it, and will not try it again. It is a totally different critter than what it has been.

I remember using it back when I was still on Windows 95. Haven't touched it since.

seekermeister, what do you expect from a beta? You could help out by reporting your problem; is that not the point of a beta?

I am using it and find it unobtrusive and complete. With computers today 200mb is a drop in the bucket, and it uses less resources but seems to provide better protection and AUTOMATIC updates. It is still being developed, so I am excited to see where it is going. I have used Spybot S&D for years on end and support it through donations.
