Windows 7 - Screenshot: FakeAV/AS

Hi everyone!!

A friend called me last night somewhat frantic about his computer acting up. I connected remotely via teamviewer to take a look. Using ComboFix and Malwarebytes the fake antimalware program was easily removed. Now I've seen several of these types over the years with varying names, poor grammar, empty threats, etc..... However this is the first time I've seen this specific one. This is quite possibly the funniest wording I've ever seen on one of these and thought I'd share.

Hah! Whatever moron designed the GUI for that fake AV can't speak a lick of English, nor type it obviously. :P

Indeed, I especially like the mention of the Police and an internal IP being blacklisted.... good funny

What is sad, is it will work more times than not.............Man some people suck.

...and for only $39.95 it will fix the probelm and delete those police logs.

I'll delete the police logs for $15.95.

Yeah, that is the unfortunate truth. People see the red X along with "critical" or "warning" and just click without reading the message...
