    Website Scanners?

Can anyone please suggest any website scanners (preferably free) that are safe and reliable to install?

I am referring to scanners that will place a "check" or a "cross" depending on how they rate the websites browsed.

For example, when I google something and the results page appears, the scanner will place a "check" or a "cross" after each link that is on that page, in order to suggest whether it deems the website safe or not. Just like this Firefox add-on called WOT.

Also, if it works for email attachments as well then that would be a bonus.

However, if anyone has had any bad experiences with this kind of tool or would not recommend using it for a particular reason, then please share the information.

What's wrong with just using WOT then?

You could also enter the site on their website manually instead of using the addon.

There's also vtzilla by Virustotal. Can scan files, and urls. Or you could just use the uploader to scan files.

    Or this one - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...2-b72cd8313d74

Avast 6 free also has their own webrep system they've started. Similar thing to WOT.

I think that MC Afee and Norton are the best.
