Are you doing the scan in Safe Mode?
Just tap the F8 key when you boot up and choose Safe Mode with Networking so that you have access to updates if needed, and then run a full scan.
You also need to make sure your anti-virus definitions are up-to-date as well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion Elite 495UK OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-Bit CPU Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93GHz Motherboard MSI 2A9C (CPU1) Memory 8Gb Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTX 460 1024MB dedicated RAM Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays HP2310i Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech K750 solar-powered keyboard Mouse Logitech Wireless M180 mouse PSU 460W Case HP Elite Cooling Air cooled Hard Drives 1x1954GB Hitachi HDS22020ALA 330 (RAID), 1x1954GB Hitachi External for backup and storage Internet Speed 2Mb Other Info Pure Avanti Flow Internet Radio with iPod Dock, 64Gb iPod, HP USB Speakers, Sony MDR-V500 Headphones, Sony Vaio F-Series Laptop |

If this is the fake AV software can you let us know the exact name, as there are many different ones?
Also, if you are running realtime scenarios for Both KAV and MSE I suggest you uninstall KAV with the Kaspersky removal tool. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number COMPAQ CQ5115 OS Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1 CPU Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33GHz Memory 8 GB Graphics Card Intel GMA 3100 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG HW191D 19" Widescreen LCD TFT Screen Resolution 1440 x 900 Keyboard Logitech UltraX Mouse Logitech MX400 Hard Drives 1x internal 500 GB

Hi,
Run Malwarebytes again and ensure you are doing a FULL system scan. You need to try and get rid of Pavelo especially since the worm is known to receive remote commands for downlaoding additional malware to an infected system. Trend Micro reports that this work has DoS capabilities.
You will also need to scan every removable drive you have since this is well know method of propogation. WORM_PALEVO.KK | Low Risk | Trend Micro Threat Encyclopedia
If you can't get that cleaned, you may want to consider a clean install.

Here is a link with instructions on removing XP Antivirus: How to remove XP Antivirus 2008, XP Antivirus 2009, and XPAntiVirus (Removal Instructions)
Also, if this happened recently, you may be able to do a system restore to a point before the infection occurred. If you can do this, make sure to restore 2 or preferably, 3 points past the infection since some malware embeds itself in the 1st restore point. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Hell oh Well OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93GHz Memory Not much with my ADHD Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4350 Monitor(s) Displays I have one...It's bright.
