    Bitlocker on C partition - how to add PIN code?

    Hi all! I have a hp laptop (HP 6730b) and two partitions, C (system) and D. I have tried bitlocker, I encripted C drive, everything works fine, but I cannot choose a pin code for C partition...

    When I started to encript C drive, there's no way to type my password/my pin code, I could only save my recovery key to my pendrive...

    I don't know, my simple windows user password is enough? I heard that it's easy to hack that, so I hope bitlocker will be safer, if it's ask password immediately after I power on my laptop...

    (I know that if somebody disassemble my laptop and put my hard drive to another pc, it won't work because tpm... But I want to choose a password, which is needed immediately after I power on my laptop, is it possible?)

    Thank you for help! :)

    You could always set a user password...

    Go to;

    Start

    Control Panel

    User Accounts

    "Create a password for your account"

    You would have to start over again. The options to enter a TPM Pin are at the start of the bitlock wizard.

    TPM is easily bypassed as well : /

    You can add a PIN protector to your existing set-up via the BitLocker command line.

    Make sure you have your Recovery Key securely backed up so you don't become one of those people who lose access to their BitLocker-protected data.
