| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 25 posts | MSE ( Microsoft Security Essential ) Problem Hi guys, Every couple of hours or after a reboot, the MSE tray icon turns orange and it tells me that I didn't do a scan in a long while. I do the scan and the problem keeps on coming. I tried already to uninstall - reinstall ( this fix prevents this issue for about 2 weeks and then happens again ). I have the latest version. So what can be the issue here ? Thanks in advance. |

| Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit 5,681 posts In a house with a cat trying to kill me | I saw this on another thread (If I find it, I'll post the link) , if you have/run the latest version of CCleaner, you need to uncheck anything related to MSE. The new version apparently cleans the logs, thus making MSE believe it hasn't scanned in a while. |

| Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1 10,090 posts East Bay Area, CA | I had the same problem here MSE keeps telling me I haven't scanned in a while It was Ccleaner, if you uncheck this box here it will quit cleaning the logs that tell it it has scanned. |
